8:01PM Kanye West makes his 1st public appearence since the MTV VMA's Taylor Swift scandal in 2008, performing his latest song, forgot what it was called, but I guess there was a change of plans bcuz according to a previous article published, Queen Latifah was going to open the show with a "Glee"-type musical number, just like Monique opened the show when she hosted the show in 2004 with the latest craze at that time: Beyonce's "Crazy in Love" song.
8:12 PM Well I guess I was half-right, half-wrong; the Queen is doing a musical number but it has nothing to do with "Glee" (thank goodness, lmao, cuz "Glee" and BET don't match), it's a parody of some of the best songs of the past year

It looks as if Justin Bieber, a nominee on tonight’s BET Awards, won’t be in attendance at the show.
He wrote on his Twitter page today that he’s currently in Milwaukee for a performance. “Missing everybody out in LA for the BET awards,” he tweeted. “Just wanted to say I would have been at the awards but this show was booked before the nominees came out, and i dont cancel shows…I would never cancel a show and let down the fans unless i had to…but i do wish i was there too, because I am honored to just be nominated.”
Bieber was nominated for best new artist at the BET Awards. His nomination has been much discussed in music circles and on music blogs. By skipping the show, the 16-year-old singer risks alienating fans who had expected to see him on the program.
Bieber also tweeted: “Why did we not plan for the BET Awards?? Well b honest people, not many of u thought the white boy from Canada was gonna b nominated. but…just goes to show that Music is COLOR BLIND!! It is the Universal Language and good music brings us all together…the way it should be.”
Requests for comment to Bieber’s representatives weren’t immediately returned.
