30 Minutes 'till American Idol

Its 8:33pm east coast time on Wednesday April 29th and A.I. starts in a couple of mins. here are my predictions right quick, Jaime Foxx is probably the best mentor in A.I. history, he was able to get everyone to invoke so much emotion in their performances and was able to get them to reach heights they had never reached before it was crazy! For the 1st time ever I watched A.I. and EVERYONE WAS ACTUALLY GREAT AND ABOVE AVERAGE. Thats why I think this week whoever gets eliminated will be based on popularity. America hates girls and guys named Matt this season for some reason, so I believe Allison and Matt will be in the bottom 3 and Kris will join them because the odds on favorites to win A.I. right now are either Danny or Adam and despite the teenage girls falling in love with Kris, less teenagers and more older ppl are watching and in these times of economic depression America is and has always been in love with sad stories with happy endings i.e. Danny's wife dieing and Danny making it this far. We'll update u l8er 2nite.

Dying Man Pleads for Financial Help

I read a blog sometimes called Diaspora Messenger. It's an interesting blog, I use it to find out whats going on in Kenya and use it once in a while, I was looking at it today and found this interesting story.

Stephen Gathi hopes that he will get one more chance to re-unite with his family in Kenya before he dies.
Gathi, 54, popularly known as Wasarah, to his friends and relatives, is a terminally ill cancer patient who lives in Lowell, Mass.
He relocated to the United States in 2001 and has not seen his wife and six children in more than eight years. Gathi’s doctor at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, Mass., where he recently underwent an extensive eight-hour surgery, has given him only three months to live.
His final wish is to fly to Kenya to spend the rest of his life with his family.
Gathi is pleading with Kenyans in the United States to help him raise funds for his airfare.
“I have decided to go back home to pray with my wife and children,” he said, while displaying a document he received from his doctor at Beth Israel after the surgery, which explains his cancer.
Gastric cancer is the second leading cause of death worldwide and is often diagnosed at an advanced or metastatic stage. It generally has a very poor prognosis, and the mean survival of people suffering from it is 2.5 to 4 months.
Gathi also wishes to raise money to pay his skyrocketing medical expenses.
“I have medical insurance, but co-payments are rapidly adding up, and I am still undergoing treatment,” he said. Gathi has more than $15,000 in unpaid medical bills, he said. With no life insurance policy to support his loved ones when he is gone, Gathi is also worried about the fate of his two children who are still attending secondary schools in Kenya.
“I wish I had a real life insurance policy,” he said, adding that he has an accidental death and dismemberment life insurance policy with a local credit union, which will not compensate his dependants when he dies. Friends moved by Gathi’s plight have been frantically trying to figure out ways to raise funds to grant him his last wish. Gathi has also been personally seeking help from well-wishers and called AjabuAfrica last week to talk about his situation.
He presented his case to the Kenyan community last Sunday at an Easter Celebration at St. Stephen’s Church in Lowell.
The shocked congregation immediately held prayers for Gathi. They also plan to hold a fundraiser for him on Sunday at The Kenyan Community Presbyterian Church (Ushindi) at 450 Chelmsford St., at 1 p.m.
Bishop David Karaya, chairman of Kenya Pastors Fellowship in America introduced Gathi to the Kenyans, while Bishop Joshua Wambua of Rapture Harvest International presided over the prayers. Bishop Karaya encouraged Kenyans to come out in large numbers to support their brother. “Some things are hard to be told, but they must be told,” he said, as he introduced Gathi to the congregation. “It is our responsibility to help the man and his family, so let’s do all we can to raise the needed funds next Sunday at Ushindi.”
People who cannot make it to the event are encouraged to deposit their contributions to Gathi’s Bank of America account number 004626841526.
Gathi recently recounted his battle with the cancer to AjabuAfrica.
“I have been very healthy for many years and have never been on any medications,” he said, “but I started feeling nauseated every morning in Auguts last year, and I have never felt better since then.”
While at his job at Kindred Specialized Hospital in Waltham, Mass., where he served as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Gathi also experienced persistent heart burns for several days, forcing him to seek medical attention at Lowell General Hospital.
On January 29 Gathi was on his way to work when he felt very sick. He immediately changed routes and drove to Lowell General Hospital’s emergency room. Gathi was admitted at the hospital for five days.
On discharge, he resumed his job and tried to go on with his life as usual. But on February 22, he fell sick again at the end of his night shift at Kindred Hospital.
“I really vomited,” he said. “I don’t even know how I managed to drive myself back to Lowell.”
Since then Gathi’s condition has deteriorated to an extent that his stomach can no longer hold anything.
“I vomit everything I swallow, including water,” he said.
Gathi’s life has been a nightmare. Since January, he has spent a lot of time in hospital undergoing numerous tests.
He has also not been able to work for several weeks, leaving him in dire financial constraints. As a result, he has not been able to keep up with the ever-piling bills at his one-bedroom apartment at Jesus Is the Answer Church, where he occasionally serves as a pastor. He is currently staying with a friend in Lowell as he prepares for his final journey to Kenya.
Gathi, comes from Bahati location, Nakuru. His son, Nelson Gathi, lives in Seattle, Washington., and has temporarily moved to Lowell to help care for him.
Today Gathi’s son and his friends take turns shuttling him back and forth to doctors’ appointments. One such friend is Rose Muroki, who has accompanied him to several doctors’ visits.
“The news [of Gathi’s sickness] shocked all of us,” Muroki said.Rose has also been alternating as co- chair of the fundraising comitee together with Anne Kamau. Gathi said the news of his impending death hit him really hard, but he has found comfort in the Lord.
“I was shocked and afraid like any other human being facing imminent death,” he said.“But now I have the strength to accept the outcome, and I am not afraid to die anymore as I know that there is a name above all other names, and with God anything is possible.”

Week 16: Sunday, Dec. 27 — at Pittsburgh, 1 p.m. LOSE

Week 17: Sunday, Jan. 3 — at Oakland, 4:15 p.m. WIN

In conclusion I pick the Ravens to go this season 9-7 and this is why. Everyone knows the saying history repeats itself and that is the case with the Ravens. Beginning with 2001, with the exception of 2005, the Baltimore Ravens have made the playoffs every other year. YES, the Ravens do have consistency at the QB position and offensive tackle positions and YES, the Ravens still have one of the best monster defenses in the league; but in my opinion last year was just a fairytale, honestly the Ravens didn't deserve to go all the way to the AFC Championship, I mean the refs actually let Joe Flacco throw the ball after the clock expired against the Titans, without that play the Ravens would have been eliminated. If the Colts would have advanced in the playoffs without those stupid OT rules or if the Pats would have made the playoffs without these stupid rules about division leaders then I guarantee you the Ravens would have got DUSTED! The way they were playing during the playoffs was pure LUCKINESS which is why they got a easy schedule this year. You also have to remember that there is no consistency at Wide Receiver and Running Back, McGahee and Mason are banged up and the way that McClain runs the football I'm not sure if he could last all season. Now whether a 9-7 record would be the difference between playoffs and no playoffs I'm not sure, but in my honest opinion thats where I see them going and I HOPE I AM WRONG!

Here are my optimistic predictions, if all goes well
Week 1: Sunday, Sept. 13 — vs. Kansas City, 1 p.m. WIN

Week 2: Sunday, Sept. 20 — at San Diego, 4:15 p.m. WIN

Week 3: Sunday, Sept. 27 — vs. Cleveland, 1 p.m. WIN

Week 4: Sunday, Oct. 4 — at New England, 1 p.m. LOSE

Week 5: Sunday, Oct. 11 — vs. Cincinnati, 1 p.m. WIN

Week 6: Sunday, Oct. 18 — at Minnesota, 1 p.m. WIN

Week 7: BYE

Week 8: Sunday, Nov. 1 — vs. Denver, 1 p.m. LOSE

Week 9: Sunday, Nov. 8 — at Cincinnati, 1 p.m. WIN

Week 10: Sunday, Monday, Nov. 16 — at Cleveland, 8:30 p.m. WIN

Week 11: Sunday, Nov. 22 — vs. Indianapolis, 1 p.m. LOSE

Week 12: Sunday, Nov. 29 — vs. Pittsburgh, 8:20 p.m. WIN

Week 13: Monday, Dec. 7 — at Green Bay, 8:30 p.m. WIN

Week 14: Sunday, Dec. 13 — vs. Detroit, 1 p.m. WIN

Week 15: Sunday, Dec. 20 — vs. Chicago, 1 p.m. WIN

Week 16: Sunday, Dec. 27 — at Pittsburgh, 1 p.m. LOSE

Week 17: Sunday, Jan. 3 — at Oakland, 4:15 p.m. WIN

So the most games I see them winning is 12 and the most games I see them losing is 4, so of course that 12-4

Here is my pessimistic schedule, if all hell breaks loose
Week 1: Sunday, Sept. 13 — vs. Kansas City, 1 p.m. WIN

Week 2: Sunday, Sept. 20 — at San Diego, 4:15 p.m. LOSE

Week 3: Sunday, Sept. 27 — vs. Cleveland, 1 p.m. WIN

Week 4: Sunday, Oct. 4 — at New England, 1 p.m. LOSE

Week 5: Sunday, Oct. 11 — vs. Cincinnati, 1 p.m. WIN

Week 6: Sunday, Oct. 18 — at Minnesota, 1 p.m. LOSE

Week 7: BYE

Week 8: Sunday, Nov. 1 — vs. Denver, 1 p.m. LOSE

Week 9: Sunday, Nov. 8 — at Cincinnati, 1 p.m. LOSE

Week 10: Sunday, Monday, Nov. 16 — at Cleveland, 8:30 p.m. LOSE

Week 11: Sunday, Nov. 22 — vs. Indianapolis, 1 p.m. LOSE

Week 12: Sunday, Nov. 29 — vs. Pittsburgh, 8:20 p.m. LOSE

Week 13: Monday, Dec. 7 — at Green Bay, 8:30 p.m. LOSE

Week 14: Sunday, Dec. 13 — vs. Detroit, 1 p.m. WIN

Week 15: Sunday, Dec. 20 — vs. Chicago, 1 p.m. WIN

Week 16: Sunday, Dec. 27 — at Pittsburgh, 1 p.m. LOSE

Week 17: Sunday, Jan. 3 — at Oakland, 4:15 p.m. WIN

So in my pessimistic schedule I see the Ravens losing 10 at the most and winning 6 at the least, so thats 6-10.

LETS REVIEW
HONEST: 9-7
OPTIMISTIC: 12-4
PESSIMISTIC: 6-10

SO WHICH RECORD DO I CHOOSE TO HOLD ON 2?
Um.....................................Um.......................................................Um............................................................................

Lets go with 12-4 that is the record I am sticking with for the rest of the season, although the last time I predicted they would go 12-4, I was on local radio at WNST in their studios with a couple of guys like Rex Snider and Mark Suchy (2 local radio guys), and the next season they went 5-11, but because I'm a Ravens fan and very hopeful, and I hear that the Ravens are looking into Anquan Boldin and Darius Heyward-Bey and Hakeem Nicks and a whole bunch of other people I'm goin' 2 take a leap of faith and have faith in them.

BUT I CAN GUARANTEE A COUPLE OF THINGS:
-If they do not go 12-4, they will either go:
a. 6-10
b. 9-7
c. 0-16
d.5-11
Nothing higher unless the guy you bow down your knees to every night is playing or nothing lower if high school amatuers are'nt playing

-They WILL beat Kansas City, Oakland, Detroit

-They WILL beat Cincy, Cleveland AT LEAST ONCE

-The following 7 games and 1 week WILL determine the Ravens season:

Week 2: Sunday, Sept. 20 — at San Diego, 4:15 p.m.
WHY?
Because it's their 1st West-Coaster

Week 4: Sunday, Oct. 4 — at New England, 1 p.m.
WHY?
N.E. wants to prove they deserved to be in the playoffs not Baltimore

Week 7: BYE
WHY?
Injuries

Week 10
: Sunday, Monday, Nov. 16 — at Cleveland, 8:30 p.m.
WHY?
Only 3 nationally televised games and this one is against a subpar team, you should be able to prove yourselves in PRIMETIME fashion

Week 11
: Sunday, Nov. 22 — vs. Indianapolis, 1 p.m.
WHY?
When was the last time you beat Indy "Let me think about that?" NEVER!!! What the @!$# happens when you play them it's like David and Goliath with David losing!!

Week 12
: Sunday, Nov. 29 — vs. Pittsburgh, 8:20 p.m.
WHY?
Who cost you a chance to go to Disney World? That's right thats what I thought

Week 13
: Monday, Dec. 7 — at Green Bay, 8:30 p.m.
WHY?
It's Lambeau Field, It's ESPN, It's Monday Night Football BABY Can't get any COLDER THAN THIS!

Week 16
: Sunday, Dec. 27 — at Pittsburgh, 1 p.m.
WHY? THEY WON THE FREAKIN' SUPER BOWL WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN WHY??

-Jessie Karangu
God is Love. Stay Breezy. Stay Cool. Peace and Adios!!:)

Why the hell am I watching Miss USA

For the first time in a long time I agree with an opinion piece from Fox News. Lemme give you some backup info. It's funny cuz I was eating Chinese food and doing my homework and watching Miss USA live on NBC, so Miss Cali walks up to the stage and picks a card and it's Perez Hilton who has to ask her a question, of course he asks her about gay marriage and she says marriage should be between a man and a woman. Now I'm not arguing to what she believes because I have true love and respect for gays and agree with most of the things that she believes; but for the judges to not vote for her just because of her beliefs is prejudice. This was like reverse prejudice, where if you're against the gays, you can't go that way. That is totally unfair! I mean Deadspin is calling it the stupidest move since Miss South Carolina (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj3iNxZ8Dww) and I guess they make a point in saying your suppose to say what everyone else wants you to say not what you believe in when it comes to beauty pagents but everyone is entitled to their own opinion! Check out Mark Joseph's perspective:

MARK JOSEPH: Miss California USA Agrees With Obama and Elton John on Gay Marriage

By Mark Joseph
Writer/Producer/Author

Miss California USA, Carrie Prejean, doesn’t agree with the notion of gay marriage. Now, according to some, that makes her a bad person. Asked by judge Perez Hilton about the issue at the Miss USA pageant, Prejean replied:

“We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite. And you know what, I think in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised.”

The response, from some quarters was swift — and angry:

“As co-director of the Miss California USA, I am personally saddened and hurt that Miss California believes marriage rights belong only to a man and a woman,” said Keith Lewis who runs the Miss California competition. “I believe all religions should be able to ordain what unions they see fit. I do not believe our government should be able to discriminate against anyone and religious beliefs have no politics in the Miss California family.”

“It’s ugly,” added Scott Ihrig, who attended the event with his partner. ”I think it’s ridiculous that she got first runner-up. That is not the values of 95 percent of the people in this audience. Look around this audience and tell me how many gay men there are.”

If Prejean’s views are “ugly,” than she’s not alone on the public stage: During the last presidential campaign President Obama answered the same question by declaring:

“I’m a Christian. And so, although I try not to have my religious beliefs dominate or determine my political views on this issue, I do believe that tradition, and my religious beliefs say that marriage is something sanctified between a man and a woman.”

Elton John has also weighed in, saying:

“If gay people want to get married, or get together, they should have a civil partnership… The word ‘marriage,’ I think, puts a lot of people off. You get the same equal rights that we do when we have a civil partnership. Heterosexual people get married. We can have civil partnerships.”

Whether we agree with Prejean, President Obama and Elton John or not, there is one thing we should all agree upon: All Americans deserve the right to debate issues and disagree with each other without threats, intimidation or ad hominem attacks. — Those who want to convince their fellow citizens about the rightness of their cause can best accomplish that by convincing, not shaming them, into agreeing with them.

Education: A Grandfather's Desire

In March 2009, My family and I celebrated the one year anniversary of the passing of my grandfather in Baltimore, MD. Close family and friends from Baltimore, MD and Atlanta, GA attended the ceremony and I was priviliged to be given a chance to speak during the anniversary. Here is the speech I made during the service.

Education, the act or process of acquiring knowledge developing the powers of reasoning and judgment and generally preparing oneself or others intellectually for mature life. An education is what helps you build your life, your values, your principals, your career and your future. An education opens minds and open doors and forces you to think out of the box instead of being stuck inside of it. Let me take you back to the days of slavery, when the African-American race suffered some of the most significant losses physically, emotionally and mentally. Before the Atlantic Slave Trade, the slave trade best known by society today, there was the African slave trade. Africans enslaved Africans but in a more peaceful manner. The enslavement was temporary and contractual and most Africans did it so that they could pay a debt back or avoid famine. You were guaranteed freedom and your children were guaranteed an education. They would learn how to read and write and their was no discrimination between the slave's kids and the slave owner's kids they were all treated as equals. But that all changed when the Atlantic slave trade took place, all of the freedoms and rights of the African people were taken away, which included the right to learn how to read and write. African Americans never were able to regain the empowerment of an education until the Reconstruction era in the late 1800's and Blacks did not reach a high literacy rate until 1900. Imagine not being able to read or to write, not being able to express yourself, not being able read the insights of other intellectuals and share your viewpoints with others as well. That's what African Americans experienced during all those years of enslavement. Despite those facts and the way civilization played out, our black people in the US have not taken advantage of the privileges of an education. Studies show that while 75 percent of white students graduate from high school only 50 percent of black students graduate. This country is not the only country suffering through this problem. Our homeland of Kenya has seen decreasing levels of educated students. In Kenya, 85 percent of the children residing there attend primary school, 24 percent of the children attend secondary school, and then it trickles down to only 2 percent that attend higher institutions. In Kenya though the low percentages of students attending school could be caused by the fact that there are many low income families in the outskirts of Nairobi that can't pay for school and the fact that you have to pay for school in the first place. But in a country like the US that provides free education from elementary school through college and offers opportunities to win scholarships, there is absolutely no excuse to not be able to attain an education. People we need to do something about this crisis. One of the reasons this economic disaster exists is because people were not educated enough when being given loans by banks, they only thought inside the box not out of it. With an education you can upgrade your position in the world and your ability to develop a better future for you and your family. Getting an education is the hope and change that you can believe in and has helped so many people to become successful like President Obama, Madam Secretary Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Obama and the list can go on and on. The advantages that an education gives you are unlike any other. Just ask Kimani Ng'ang'a, an 84 year old Mau Mau veteran who attended the first grade for the first time in order to know how much money he should receive in compensation for his job. People might have thought he was dreaming for attending school at such an old age but he was able to upgrade his position in the world. Nobody is too young, or too old to upgrade your education. So to all of my Black people, White people, Hispanics, Kenyans and everyone in between I encourage you today that you are not too young or too old to get an education there should be absolutely nothing that can stop you. People have fought, cried and given up their lives for education, it is very selfish to not take advantage of the opportunities that you have now. Dr. Karangu always believed that education was the way to go. He worked hard with his economics students and tried to help them as best as he could and he touched many people's lives. One day I was with Irungu and another friend of mine playing basketball at my house. My friend's father came to pick him up and Irungu's dad came to pick him up as well. My friend's father looked at Guka and said “Oh my God is it you professor, how have you been, I don't know if you realize this but you don't know how much you have changed my life, you were one of the best teachers I ever had, I just want to say thank you” Guka had the biggest smile on his face, it was just one of the many people he touched with how he felt about the value of education. Guka was among a group of Kenyan scholars who were some of the most elite students in the country and were deemed as future leaders of Kenya. This was a program that was started by John F. Kennedy to broaden the value of education around the world. Guka was offered the opportunity to get an education in the US, in a time in the 1960's when there was a peak in racial discrimination. But he persevered and was able to change so many lives and bring so many people to the US to achieve the same dreams that he achieved. I leave today with a quote from an educated English poet by the name of Joseph Addison.

"Education is a companion which no misfortune can depress, no crime can destroy, no enemy can alienate, no despotism can enslave. At home, a friend; abroad, an introduction; in solitude, a solace; and in society, an ornament. It chastens vice, it guides virtue, it gives at once grace and government to genius. Without it, what is man? A splendid slave, a reasoning savage."

In honor of Guka's memory let us strive to be leaders, role models and advocates of education to upgrade the positions that we have in this world. Parents, be more supportive of your kids, encourage them to upgrade, if they get B's encourage them to get A's, if they get A-'s encourage them to get A+'s, be more positive with your kids but also emphasize on areas that need improvement. To all my age mates and young people obey your parents. God has placed them to be in that position for a purpose, they are there to help you not hurt you so embrace them with love and make them proud of you.

Thank You.

Republicans....PSSH!.....Hell No It's American Extremists

Gov. Rick Perry of Texas has just said that Texas can leave the Union whenever it wants to, I hope that was just a statement to fire up the crowd, I mentioned earlier that Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul and Dick Armey might start there own party and it might cut the votes of Republicans, but I don't think these are Republicans lol, the same people we see at church on Sunday, attacking reporters, putting racial signs up like "IMPEACH YOBAMA NOW!" I mean come on, I know you hate the guy but you don't have to use his name in a racial way offensively! WOW! Janet Napolititano, the cheif of Homeland Security was right when she said their is a threat of right-wing extremists in this country, heck, there not right-wing extremists, there just white rasict extremists that wanna cause up a stir just because we have a black president. Now if you know me you know I'm not a race baitor like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, but there are certain situations that are just too fishy like this one. These extremists are planning another protest during the 4th of July in DC, these look like the kind of people that wanna shoot Obama but just won't say it in public. And there seems like there was a miscommunication when these tea parties were organized, on Neil Cavuto and Glenn Beck's shows they both said this is a protest against government and big spending, and the fact that people on both political sides have increased the country's spending, but Sean Hannity must have gotten a different memo. I mean this guy talks crap like Barack Obama should have never got any credit or taken any credit for the rescue of the captain, and that these rallies are all anti-Obama and that the Republicans are the greatest BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!! If I were Barack I would never sit down for an interview with him during these next 8 years, he might pull out a gun the way he's talking lol. I mean Glenn Beck and Neil Cavuto and Bill O'Rielly and all the other Fox Noise freaks (except for Shepard Smith he is a pure unbiased journalist) all hate Democrats and thats fine but they still give him credit where credit is due and while doing that are still able to share their strong disbeliefs towards his policies. Sean Hannity on the other hand is terrible. Everything Obama does IS BAD. Here's the example I used about extremists like him in my last opinion piece:
It seems like whatever Obama does, it's automatically bad because the Republicans say so. "Oh no, Obama got a dog, THATS TERRIBLE, fellow Republicans NEVER BUY A DOG AGAIN!" "Oh no, Michelle touched the Queen, Oh my God she is the worst first lady in the history of society as we know it" I mean what's next, "Oh no Obama IS actually American let's move to Canada" OH PLEASE WHAT KIND OF BS IS THAT!!!! STEP UP A LITTLE, Let's Stand TOGETHER and not Fall DIVIDED People.

This is what I'm talking about, here's a link to some of the points that I was talking about here:
http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/fnc/goldberg_to_hannity_the_right_has_to_stop_behaving_like_the_left_used_to_behave_with_george_bush_114117.asp
And second Sean, OBAMA NEVER TALKED IN PUBLIC ABOUT THE PIRATES SO ALL THIS CRAP ABOUT "YOU NEED 2 STOP GIVING OBAMA CREDIT 4 THE PIRATES ISSUE" NEEDS TO STOP, INSTEAD OF PMS'ing about Obama try and help in getting the word out about the 2nd US ship with food for Kikuyu refugees being taken over by pirates AGAIN!! I mean as terrible as Fox is they reach alot of people, COME ON SEAN!

SOUNDOFF: Tax Day Tea Parties

Hey guys sup, I rarely sound off but when something pisses me off so much like this I have to vent somewhere about it, I mean that's what blogs and social networking websites are for right? Well the last time I posted a Soundoff post it was about Israel, a country who I have much love and respect for but I think is one of the worst countries in the world in terms of political decisions, no disrespect to the Jews; now it's time for me too talk about these STUPID @$$ tea parties that are occurring around the United States today. Just in case you don't know:

The
Tea Party protests are a series of nationally coordinated, locally organized protests across America in 2009.The protests are in opposition to various aspects of government spending, including the Homeowners Affordability and Stability Plan, the Troubled Assets Relief Program, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, and the Omnibus Appropriations Act of 2009. The name "Tea Party" is a reference to the Boston Tea Party and is meant to convey feelings about the American revolution.

I did some research just to make sure this Wikipedia definition was true and in fact it is, they claim to not only be protesting Barack Obama and his policies but George Bush and his policies and the fact that the government is getting bigger and that the financing of AIG, GM, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Chrysler and so many other industries that have been bailed out is wrong and that we should not be getting out of this recession through huge gov't spending, but according to a USA Today article, by "build(ing) an anti-spending coalition around regular taxpayers". In an article by The New Straits Times Online, a woman by the name of Marilyn Henrity, who is 70 states that her money is disappearing and that she is tired of taxation without representation. In a Huffington Post article, a letter by Michael Steele is analyzed and the letter seems to be an endorsement by the Republican Party for the tea parties that are going on today:
Dear Jim,

Vice President Joe Biden said during the 2008 campaign that it is patriotic for Americans to pay more in taxes. Since taking over control of Washington, the Obama Democrats have decided we should all be more "patriotic" having passed or proposed more than $5 trillion in new spending and $1.4 trillion in new taxes.

I don't know about you, Jim, but I don't believe there is anything patriotic about giving more of your hard-earned money to the government to bankroll the liberal Democrats' agenda to increase spending to record levels, change the tax code to redistribute the wealth of working families, and destroy the savings of millions of middle-class Americans.

So on this Tax Day, April 15, the Republican National Committee is asking you, along with hundreds of thousands of grassroots activists across our country, to assert a real patriotic act by sending a virtual tea bag to Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and the rest of the tax, spend and borrow Democrats. Let them know enough is enough and you don't approve of their plan to pass the largest tax hike in American history.

OK, First of all to Marylin Henrity, you are complaining about your money disappearing, well at your age, not to be prejudice against seniors in any way, shape or form; but again as I was saying at your age the only money that you are probably getting is from Social Security and your retirement funds. Well just in case you have'nt noticed the economy is terrible, stocks are going down terribly and the reason all this is happening is because CEO's of huge companies were taking in major bonuses that they did'nt deserve, companies invested in risky stocks and many people were being greedy in terms of the things that they can afford or can't afford, in what way is that the Obama administration's fault if they were'nt even in office. Now you could have argued that politicians who were in power at that time should have taken action to reduce the risky spending but still keep this country's economy in a capitalist state but guess who that boils down all the way to. YOU AND THE REPUBLICAN PARTY! Because guess who was in power when signs of a recession started looming, Yes that's right PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH! At the same time you could argue that Democrats were serving in Congress as the majority but these signs started during his first tenure as president and guess who the majority in the Congress was at that time, Yes you guessed it right again THE REPUBLICANS! What I was just talking about before was your retirement funds that were previously in the stock market, now let's get to your Social Security. The gov't pays you money once you retire of course known as Social Security, but when the money that the gov't has continues to decrease what do you expect your Social Security to go up? But if I'm not mistaken (and I'm not too clear on the Social Security thing) the gov't pays you the same social security no matter what's going on in the economy, isn't that right? Now let's get to where you said that you were tired of taxation without representation. Now with Obama's current plan that he wants to put into effect soon, if you make $250,000 or less then your taxes will decrease, but if you make more than $250,000, in other words if you are wealthy then you pay more taxes. Not to judge by appearence but based on the footage that I saw on Fox News today from these protests, these look like typical Americans who probably most likely make less than $250,000; and again not to be judgemental but they did'nt look like rich people who own a whole bunch of houses and have a huge income. My point is IF ANYONE SHOULD BE COMPLAINING IT SHOULD BE THE WEALTHY PEOPLE NOT THESE MIDDLE CLASS AMERICANS WHO WILL BE PAYING LESS TAXES. Also, notice how I used the word "WILL". Guess what? The Bush tax policies are still in effect, and guess who the raise in taxes came from GEORGE BUSH!!!! IF THERE IS ANYTHING YOU SHOULD BE PROTESTING ABOUT IT'S THAT OBAMA HAS'NT CHANGED THE BUSH TAX POLICIES YET!!! NOT THAT OBAMA IS FORCING YOU TO PAY MORE TAXES NOT TO BE RUDE BUT ARE YOU GUYS OUT OF YOUR MINDS!!!! If you wanna use that quote from the Boston Tea Party back in the 1800's that would not be effective at all, because it's taxation WITH representation, for crying out loud GIVE THE GUY A BREAK!

Let me now address Michael Steele's letter, he states that he does'nt believe it's patriotic to pay taxes, I disagree with that, (but I guarantee if Dick Cheney said that the Republicans would have agreed and the Democrats would have gone bedlam YOU SEE THIS IS WHY I HATE POLITICS, EVERYONE IS ON THE OPPOSING PARTIES D!%K, HOP OFF! Sorry for being so wishy washy lol lemme get back to my liberal stance LOL) I actually believe that it is patriotic to pay taxes, because this is how we fund the gov't to help create new jobs, new infrastructure, help protect the people of this nation, create new technology for public use and for use of defense against other countries etc. Where will the gov't get the money to do that if we don't pay taxes? Growing marijuana and making it legal LOL? And when you think about it your helping someone that might not have been as blessed as you by paying taxes so the gov't can give out Medicad, food for homeless shelters, Social Security, Welfare (although many would argue that people don't work as hard because they know they can get welfare), food stamps and etc. Tell me how that does'nt make you feel good on the inside. And if you believe the Obama administration is corrupt for some reason, do you think they would be the first? I mean George Bush gave so many of his friends exclusive contracts in Iraq to make billions of $, Bill Clinton had an affair, Both Bushes fought in wars that were money wasters, Reagan used cheap tactics to get the economy smooth instead of finding a solution, but politicians no matter what the party will be politicians and if we can't trust them with our money then who can we trust honestly? (God! LOL These presidents I'm sure would have a guilty conscience should they do something to destroy this country because people put trust in them to help them but they did they opposite, believe me I know, it feels bad when you let a person down, imagine letting over 300 million people down)

To those that believe that the stimulus package was stupid becuase of so much gov't spending R U STUPID? To those who believe anti-spending tactics are gonna work R U STUPID? Lemme give you an example. For a business to run smoothly you must have someone (the owner or manager) who is willing to spend money to get a building for where the business will be, to research what industry you want to get into, to buy products to sell, and to get advertising so people can come to your business and be attracted by your business, and invest in your business by spending money in your business and buying products. If there is no one to buy products, then how the hell are you going to keep up with your expenses, that means you will have more expenses than income Does that make any sense? Is that a money-making venture? Well that's the situation the US is in and that is why as of 4/15/09 we are
$11,172,298,738,031.41 in debt. Now Obama can't fix the debt situation and get it to millions, thousands, hundreds or even billions, but he can help reduce it by helping to get these stimulus packages going because in the long run if industries are making money and the private and public sectors are making money then the gov't can make money because it can charge more taxes. And I don't know if you teabaggers notice but "Fifty-three percent of Americans -- roughly the same percentage that elected Obama president -- told pollsters they approve of the recent government expansion, while 44 percent said they disapprove." according to a new Gallup poll released today.

Fox News is supposed to be a journalistic enterprise but as the years pass by Fox continues to grow into right-wing propaganda, although you gotta give credit to Fox for continuing to market to the 49% of the people who did'nt vote for Barack Obama because those people are more politically active than the 51% who did vote for Obama, (due to the fact that there were more young people involved) and if you are more politically active then you are more likely to watch FOX Noise, I mean Fox News than say MTV, BET, TNT, USA, ESPN etc. and in the end that all equals better ratings and more money. In order for MSNBC and CNN (more leanent towards to Obama) to attract more viewers they must reach out to those youngsters who voted for Obama because they are probably watching MTV, BET, TNT, USA, ESPN etc., or maybe if one of them were to lean independent or straight news no opinion or bias, which in my opinion none of them do, then I believe it would help because technically MSNBC, CNN, CNBC and HLN (all more liberal leaning cable nets) are splitting viewers with themselves and entertainment networks. Also, in my opinion Fox News should seperate their news programming from their opinion programming becuase you can not be considered a news network if you have people on during your news programming promoting right-wing tea parties

Finally, I think it's dumb to have these tea parties because it is breaking up the Republican party. First of all, according to the organizers this is a party to protest against Dems and REPUBLICANS not just Dems, despite that "fact" the GOP still supports this cause (WEIRD!). Second of all, prominent Republicans like Fat Rush, Sarah Palin, John McCain, Michael Steele etc. did not and will not speak at these parties, instead Republicans like Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul, who are rumored to be starting a third party or bringing the Libertarians to prominense, are the major supporters and/or speakers at these parties. Obama's approval ratings are the highest in the world besides Brazil's president, and the first lady's are even HIGHER! If the Republicans want to even think about winning in 2012, this type of seperation better stop because if Newt and Paul start their own party then the votes will probably be split with the Republicans because they basically have the same beliefs, it would be a redo of the '92 and '96 Clinton elections when Ross Perot who was a right-winger challenged George Bush Senior and Bob Dole respecitvely. Liberals are LMAO about these parties so the only people it's hurting are U GUYS! I leave you with 2 videos from David Shuster of MSNBC on Countdown about Conservative Teabagging!

By the way these right-wingers better not go too far with these protests, I honestly thought we would see riots or something or huge carnage in the city whoever won because there was so much hatred in this election due to B.O's skincolor, you may disagree with B.O. and his policies but don't take it to the level of hatred and violence, and that also goes for B.O. supporters. Let's be leaders not followers becuase right now the whole world is following the Chinese. If the Chinese give up there investments in Africa, the US and Europe and even in parts of Asia we could see a huge economic crisis coming. A recession even bigger than the one we are in right now. Oh God, I don't even want to imagine, anyways just keep praying.
